Yesterday, May 20, the voters of Virginia Beach’s House District 84 chose their Democratic nominee for the November General Election. They are tired of the dysfunction of the Virginia General Assembly and ready for a new voice. With this election, the community has found the right voice to restore faith in government and will work to send Dr. Veronica Coleman to Richmond to provide a voice of integrity for Virginia Beach and the Commonwealth.
Dr. Coleman’s opponent, Ms. Erin Edlow, deserves high praise. She has a bright future ahead of her and will certainly continue to be an active voice in our community. It was a hard-fought campaign on ideas and values, rather than the mudslinging and bigotry we’ve seen in the national spotlight. Both worked to embrace Democratic values and progressive policies. Dr. Coleman looks forward to working with her to be a voice for the 84th District.
The General Election is right around the corner. Beach Democrats will hold the opposition accountable. In November, we look forward to sending a new Delegate to Richmond to represent the people of the 84th — Dr. Veronica Coleman.
